Union Presentation
Day 240m150 XP
The Union Pitch — Your Most Powerful Tool
This is the presentation that opens every door. 93% of union members choose AIL when presented correctly.
Core facts to know cold:
- AIL = unionized division of Globe Life
- Globe Life: 100+ years. AIL: 50+ years.
- 93% of California unions pick AIL every year for life insurance
- Unions served: police officers, firefighters, teachers, labor unions
- Payout: 1-4 DAYS (industry avg: 6-9 months)
- Permanent coverages that never expire
- Benefits NOT sold to the public
- 99% of policyholders are union members/family/friends
The flow:
1. First slide — fill out client info
2. Rapport building (children under 18, employed)
3. Show response card/union letter
4. No-cost benefits (share screen) -> AD&D + Discount Card
5. Referrals slide — go through completely
6. Read the letter — first 2 paragraphs
7. Transition into offer
No-Cost Benefits Presentation
"The first benefit your union has established for you is a life insurance benefit. What this covers is if you lose a hand, a foot, or the sight of an eye — you receive half, which is $2,000. Now, God forbid you lose a combination of two things — for example a foot and a hand, or an eye and a foot — you would receive the complete amount of $4,000. But if you pass away due to an accident at work or anywhere else, your beneficiary [beneficiary name] would receive the complete amount of $4,000." Transition: “Now, those are what we call Option A benefits...”
The Car Dealership Analogy
When positioning AIL's credibility: “You don't buy a car from McDonald's. You go to a dealership. Same thing — when it comes to life insurance, you talk to a life insurance professional through your union, not some random carrier.” The credibility through association: “Once we explain to them that we're unionized, we're handing these policies over to police officers and firefighters. Do you think we have something in the fine print that is lying to you? No. Your family will have money in 1-4 days.” The "why you're getting this call" explanation: “Your union has established a death benefit for you, and it's my job to send you this benefit and explain exactly what you get for being part of your union.”
Spanish Union Script (Bilingual Teams)
NOTE: This script follows the exact same flow as the English version. The key difference is the warm, respectful tone — use “usted” (formal you) throughout.
Union Pitch Delivery Tips
Confidence is everything in this pitch:
• Know every fact cold — don't fumble on numbers
• “93%” and “1-4 days” are your two most powerful stats
• The police/firefighter reference builds instant trust
• Never sound like you're reading — this must be conversational
• Use “your union” repeatedly — it's THEIR benefit, not your pitch
Common mistakes to avoid:
• Skipping the no-cost benefits (they build trust before the ask)
• Rushing through the union letter
• Not personalizing the beneficiary name
• Forgetting to go through the referrals slide
• Sounding scripted instead of natural
